What we collect and why
- Page views and link clicks (Google Analytics 4). When analytics is on, the site records each page view (the page address and title and the page that referred you) and each link you click: links to other pages on this site, links to other websites, sponsor and ad links, and phone and email links. For a link click we record the link's address (without anything after a
?or#), its visible label, the type of link and the page you clicked it on. We also count when a sponsor space scrolls into view (by sponsor ID), clicks on call, email and contact buttons, opening or submitting the Mover's Guide sign-up box (that it was used, not what you typed), and which reason you picked on the contact form. Google Analytics also works out general details such as device type, browser and approximate location (city or region). We use the counts to see which pages, listings and links are useful and to report totals to sponsors. - No personal identifiers. Our analytics events never include your name, email address, phone number, street address, or anything you type into the contact form, sign-up box or search box. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies with a random ID to tell new visits from return visits. Google Signals and ad personalization are turned off, and we don't use analytics for advertising profiles.
- Current status. Google Analytics is on.
- Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends either signal, the site doesn't load Google Analytics and records nothing: no page views, no link clicks and no other events.
- Contact form, city guide inquiry and listing requests. When you press send, what you entered is sent to Aaron by email (through our hosting provider Vercel and our email delivery provider, Resend, or Google Workspace email) and is not stored on this website. We use it only to reply to your request. It isn't sold or shared, and you won't be added to a mailing list unless you ask. To limit spam, the form briefly uses your IP address to count how many messages are sent; it is not saved or included in the email.
- Mover's Guide sign-up (AtoZ Home Buying Guide). When you ask for the guide, your first name, email, phone (if you add one), the page you were on and the time are emailed to Aaron and saved in a private delivery log on our hosting provider, Vercel, so Aaron knows who received the guide and can follow up, by email (and by phone or text if you gave a number) as the consent box says. Each download of the guide PDF is also logged with its time, the page that linked to it and your browser type. This information isn't sold or shared. To be removed or unsubscribed, email Aaron.
- Maps. Interactive maps load map tiles from OpenStreetMap (tile.openstreetmap.org). Your browser asks OpenStreetMap's servers for the map area you're viewing, under OpenStreetMap's privacy policy.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard technical request data (such as IP address and browser) to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- No cookies or local storage of our own. Apart from Google Analytics' cookies when analytics is on, the site doesn't set cookies or use browser storage.
- Business listings. Directory listings contain business contact details compiled from public open datasets and, where noted, the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce directory. Owners can ask for a correction or removal at any time on this page, and anyone can suggest an edit.
- Leaving this site. Links to businesses, sponsors and other sites take you to those sites, which have their own privacy practices.
How we use and share information
We use the information above to reply to you, count traffic and link use, report aggregate sponsor results, fix problems and prevent abuse. We share it only with the service providers named here (Google for analytics when it's on, Vercel for hosting and form processing, Resend or Google Workspace for delivering form messages and guide notices by email), and only so they can do that work, or when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your choices and California rights
- Turn on Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control in your browser, and this site records no analytics for you.
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser. The site still works.
- Access, correction and deletion: email aaron@impactprop.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Because we don't sell or share personal information as the law defines those terms, there is no separate "do not sell or share" opt-out to file, but contact us with any concern and we'll help.
- California residents won't be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
Children
This site is a general local guide and isn't directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
